Chelsea’s winless streak in the Premier League has stretched to four matches after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Cole Palmer opened the scoring for Chelsea in the 14th minute with a clinical finish, but Jean-Philippe Mateta equalized for Palace in the 82nd minute.
The draw marks a disappointing result for Chelsea, who dominated the first half but failed to capitalize on their chances.
Palace, on the other hand, showed great resilience and determination to come from behind and secure a point.
The result leaves Chelsea fourth in the Premier League table, one point above fifth-placed Newcastle United.
Palace, meanwhile, remains in 15th place but has opened up a six-point gap from the relegation zone.
Chelsea’s next Premier League match is against Bournemouth on January 14, while Palace will face Leicester City on January 15.
