Ipswich Town pulled off a stunning 2-0 upset against Chelsea at Portman Road, marking their first home Premier League win of the season.
Liam Delap was the star of the show, scoring the opening goal from the penalty spot in the 12th minute and assisting Omari Hutchinson’s goal in the 53rd minute.
This historic win ended Ipswich’s 22-year wait for a home Premier League victory, with the team moving up to 18th place in the standings.
Manager Kieran McKenna and former Super Eagles forward Omatsone Aluko, who is currently assistant manager at Ipswich guided them to the famous win.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have now suffered their second consecutive defeat, falling 10 points behind league leaders Liverpool.
McKenna hailed the win as a “special night” for the club, praising his team’s intensity, organization, and determination.
In his part, Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca, however, acknowledged that his team is “far from competing” with the best teams in England, despite their strong start to the season.
