Valencia CF has secured the services of Nigerian striker Umar Sadiq on loan from Real Sociedad until the end of the season.
The 27-year-old’s move to Valencia includes a purchase option of less than €10 million this summer, with the club also paying a €1 million loan fee.
Sadiq expressed his excitement about joining Valencia, citing the club’s hunger to succeed as a key factor in his decision.
“I have a lot of hunger to do well, and I saw that Valencia has the same hunger,” he said during his official presentation.
The Nigerian striker is eager to revive his career at Valencia, having struggled with injuries and limited playing time at Real Sociedad.
Sadiq acknowledged that he didn’t get the continuity he needed at La Real, but is now fully fit and ready to fight for Valencia.
Valencia’s new manager, Carlos Corberan, will be hoping Sadiq can make an immediate impact and help the team climb the league table. With Sadiq’s arrival, Valencia is looking to reverse its fortunes and return to its former glory.
