Tottenham Hotspur edged Manchester United 4-3 in a thrilling Carabao Cup quarterfinal match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The hosts took a commanding 3-0 lead, but Manchester United staged a dramatic comeback, scoring three goals to make it 3-3.
However, Heung-Min Son’s 88th-minute Olimpico sealed the win for Tottenham.
Dominic Solanke opened the scoring for Tottenham in the 15th minute, capitalizing on a poor moment by Manchester United’s backup keeper Altay Bayindir.
Dejan Kulusevski scored Tottenham’s second goal just 46 seconds into the second half, and Solanke added his second goal in the 54th minute to make it 3-0.
Manchester United’s comeback began with Joshua Zirkzee’s goal in the 63rd minute, followed by Amad Diallo’s goal in the 70th minute.
Jonny Evans scored Manchester United’s third goal in stoppage time, but it was too little, too late.

Tottenham’s win sets up a semifinal clash in the Carabao Cup against Liverpool, while Manchester United’s momentum from their recent Manchester derby win has stalled.
In the second semifinal match up, Arsenal takes on Newcastle United.
The first and second leg matches of the semifinal round will hold between January 7-8 and February 4-5 next year.
